Created specifically and exclusively for first-year students, the immersive Connect Abroad programs will connect you to peers, faculty, and unique experiences over UGA’s spring break in Cuba, Italy, Morocco, or the United Kingdom.
Not only is this a chance to explore the culture, society, politics, and art of another country, it’s an opportunity to create long-lasting bonds with other UGA students, faculty, and staff.

By participating in this program, you will earn 1.0 credit hour and fulfill your experiential learning graduation requirement.
Fees will vary depending on your destination. HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarships, along with other scholarships and financial aid, can be applied to Connect Abroad programs. For more information about funding Study Away experiences, visit the Office of Global Engagement. Additional scholarships are available through our global education partner, WorldStrides.
Applications are now open and will close on October 31. We will begin reviewing and accepting applications starting September 11 on a rolling basis, so apply early!
