Funding your Connect Abroad experience may be easier than you think. Connect Abroad offers a variety of funding opportunities to help make global experiences more accessible, including financial aid, scholarships, and program-specific support. Explore the information below to learn about program costs and the resources available to help fund your adventure.
Program Costs −+
Program costs vary by destination and are listed on each Connect Abroad program brochure. The total cost of participation consists of tuition for the associated academic course and a separate program fee that covers the travel experience. Financial aid and scholarships can often be combined to reduce the overall cost of your Connect Abroad experience.
Program Fees −+

Tuition vs. Fees −+
The advertised program fees do not include the tuition cost of enrolling in the associated academic course. This is because tuition costs vary based on the total number of credit hours for which a student enrolls in a given semester. The Office of Student Financial Aid can provide more specific information about the tuition costs for students.
Financial Aid −+
Most types of financial aid can be applied toward Connect Abroad programs. HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships apply to tuition for the associated academic course, while Pell Grants may be applied toward tuition and, in some cases, a portion of the program fee. Students may also combine (“stack”) eligible scholarships to further reduce the cost of participation. We recommend contacting the Office of Student Financial Aid for questions about your specific financial aid package and how it can apply to Connect Abroad or other study away programs.
Scholarships −+
Several scholarship opportunities are available to help reduce the cost of participating in Connect Abroad. Opportunities are offered through the Office of Experiential Learning, the Office of Global Engagement, and select colleges.
