For Focused First-Years Exploring Their Academic or Career Path

Immerse programs are tailor-made for first-year students within a specific college or major who want to connect their academic or career interests with global experience. These are faculty-led Spring Break programs that bear 1-3 credit hours, depending on the sponsoring college. Unlike Discover and Explore, Immerse programs are designed in partnership with UGA colleges and departments, offering a deeper dive into your discipline through cultural engagement, professional site visits, and hands-on learning. If you’re excited to see how your field plays out in different cultural contexts, Immerse is your launchpad.
