Blanket Statements

Colleges and schools have the option to adopt blanket statements for certain types of approved experiential learning activities. All of these activities have been approved at the University level.

The activities listed below will fulfill the EL requirement for majors in the specified school or college.

College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences −+

Global: Any UGA-sponsored exchange program or any CAES faculty-led study abroad program will fulfill the requirement.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.
Service: Any service learning course approved by the Office of Service-Learning.

College of Education −+

Global: Any UGA-approved study abroad or field study program.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.
Service: Any service learning course approved by the Office of Service-Learning.
Courses: Any UGA course approved for Experiential Learning.
Non-Credit Activities: Any non-course activity that has been approved for Experiential Learning.

College of Engineering −+

Global: Any UGA-approved study abroad or field study program.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.
Service: Any service learning course approved by the Office of Service-Learning.

Global: Any UGA-approved study abroad or field study program.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.
Service: Any service learning course denoted with an S-suffix.

Global: Any UGA-approved study abroad or field study program.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.

Franklin Performance Activities: Selected non-credit experiences; for example, participation in University Theatre Season productions or music ensembles. Students must seek approval from the Experiential Learning Certification Officer.

Grady College of Journalism −+

Global: Any Grady-sponsored study abroad or domestic field study program. With prior approval of the Experiential Learning Certification Officer, non-Grady-sponsored study abroad or domestic field study programs may satisfy the requirement.
Research: Any undergraduate research course denoted with an R-suffix, or participation in a CURO Research Assistantship, or CURO Summer Fellowship.

Odum School of Ecology −+

Global: Any UGA-approved study abroad or field study program.
