Career goals: To attend medical school to become a doctor. I am interested in potentially pursuing the field of geriatrics and working in areas where elderly people are disadvantaged, or obstetrics and working where women have limited access to care.

Class of 2021

Savannah traveled to Peru to shadow doctors in public hospitals and hone her Medical Spanish skills.

"From my classes in Global Health prior to the trip, I had the opportunity to learn about the effects and importance of health policy. My EL experience of shadowing doctors in public hospitals in Peru brought this to life."

"It is my dream to work in developing communities, both in the U.S. and abroad, to help these communities bring about the change they want to see through the dignity of empowerment of healthcare, as well as the support of the local church."

"My experience definitely shaped my plans for the future.  For the first time, I became interested in hospital administration as I recognized that high standards and levels of accountability from those who run the hospital can radically change the sort of attention patients will receive."
