Experiential Learning Scholarships

The Office of Experiential Learning offers scholarships to support students' experiential learning activities. Awards are in amounts of up to $3,000.

Students must be eligible and activities must be on the approved list of any college to be considered for funding. For more information, contact us at el-scholarships@uga.edu.

This is a very competitive scholarship program. Applicant eligibility for this scholarship does not guarantee selection for an award.

**Please note that all recommendation letters must be submitted by the application deadline. It is the applicant’s responsibility to communicate deadlines to the recommender(s).  While only one recommendation letter is required, applicants are welcome and encouraged to seek multiple recommendations.

Upcoming Deadlines

For activities occurring in  Winter Break 2024/Spring/Maymester/Summer 2025 - October 14, 2024

  • Applications will open in August
  • Select "Fall 2024" application (The term refers to our application cycle, not the semester of your EL activity!)

For activities occurring in Maymester/Summer/Fall 2025 - mid-February 2025

  • Applications will open in December after grades are posted
  • Select "Spring 2025" application

Yes, you are reading that right! We accept applications for Maymester and Summer activities during both Fall and Spring application cycles. We understand that students might not know what their summer plans are by our October deadline, so we've built this flexibility into our scholarship awarding process.

The Office of Experiential Learning receives generous support from the Knox-Hines Experiential Learning Initiative, the Crawford Experience Learning Endowment, the Georgia Athletic Association Scholarship for Experiential Learning, and the Gregory and Barbara Rizzo Experiential Learning Scholarship Fund.
