Casey Carrell
Senior Program Manager
Casey Carrell joined the Office of Experiential Learning in November 2024 as the Senior
Program Manager. Casey supports the development and execution of EL programs, including
EL Connect Abroad, the Experiential Learning Internship Program (ELIP), and the Student
Industry Fellows Program (SIFP).
Casey graduated from Furman University in 2018 with a BS in Biology. He spent most
of 2019 volunteering with Corrymeela, a peace and reconciliation centre in Northern
Ireland. Upon his return to the US, his alma mater invited him back to South Carolina
to assist with the facilitation of the Furman University Cothran Center's Summer Connections
program for three consecutive summers. He spent a couple of years working as an inside
account manager with TW Metals before heading back to Belfast to pursue his master's
degree. In 2024, he graduated with distinction from Queen's University Belfast with
his MS(c) in Psychological Science. Casey is excited to pull inspiration from his
eclectic, adventurous background in order to provide unique and enriching experiences
for the UGA community.
When out of the office, Casey enjoys watching Star Wars with his godson, sampling
sweet pastries with his grandmother, and searching for Bigfoot, selkies, and other
cryptids all over the world.
