GA Agribusiness Council Legislative InternshipThe Georgia Agribusiness Council Legislative Internship

is an opportunity for students interested in agriculture and consumer affairs to work with the Georgia Agribusiness Council (GAC) during the State Legislative session. Students spend 12 weeks interning directly with the GAC President and GAC Public Affairs Manager, researching and tracking legislation impacting Georgia's agriculture and forestry sectors, monitoring committee meetings, and assisting with a weekly legislative newsletter for GAC members.


Purpose: Toenable students to become involved in the state legislative and policy activities of the Georgia Agribusiness Council.

Students benefit from first-hand experience in legislation and lobbying efforts for Georgia's number one industry while strengthening their communication, research, and interpersonal skills.
