A UGA Bulldog Basics Intern with a wagon filled with bags.The Bulldog Basics Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to serve within the UGA community while honing their skills in specific roles. Bulldog Basics provides a wide range of internship positions and opportunities to gain valuable work experience, from Operations and Volunteer Management to Communications and Web Development. Students cultivate and enhance a variety of transferable skills including career and self-development, communication, critical thinking, community building, leadership, workplace brand, and technology. Interns work as part of a team to understand their individual and collective contributions.

Purpose: To provide students with the opportunity to serve within the UGA community and develop transferable skills through a variety of intern positions.

Launched in March 2016, Bulldog Basics provides free toiletry and personal care items to UGA students on the Athens campus by collecting donations from students, staff, alumni, faculty, and local community members. In 2020, Bulldog Basics transitioned to an eStore and has since distributed over 1100 orders through five pick-up locations.
