EL Ambassadors

Program Description

Students talkingExperiential Learning (EL) Ambassadors formally represent the Office of University Experiential Learning (OEL) through  outreach and education to the UGA community on experiential learning, its value, and the EL graduation  requirement. Ambassadors amplify the EL story at UGA through media inquiries, external presentations, council/board meetings, in-class presentations and/or print, social, and digital campaigns also support the development and implementation of the Office's strategic initiatives and will support the planning ofand participation in the annual EL Summit.

All ambassadors will go through a rigorous training and will be empowered to speak with confidence on what EL at UGA is and why it is important. EL Ambassadors will act as the “official” student face of EL, and represent the office’s objectives  and mission when interacting with their peers and the broader UGA community.

In addition, EL Ambassadors will receive leadership training and will benefit from a formal 360 degree competency evaluation and an industry leading professional development planning methodology during each year of service indexed to workplace competency research.  Through this process, Ambassadors consult with and advise OEL Leadership on the tactical implementation of the FY21-25 OEL Strategic Plan.
