Senior Manager for Marketing and EL Fund Management

Annelise Chick is the Senior Manager for Marketing and EL Fund Management in the Office of Experiential Learning, where she develops strategic communications and oversees funding initiatives that expand access to hands-on learning opportunities for students. She joined the office in 2022 as the Scholarships & Public Relations Coordinator and has continued to grow her role at the intersection of storytelling, student support, and program development.

Annelise earned both her B.A. and Ph.D. in English from UGA, specializing in British literature. While completing her doctorate, she taught writing and literature courses as an Instructor of Record in the English Department, cultivating expertise in communication, pedagogy, and audience engagement that now informs her work in marketing and fund management. Her scholarly work can be found in Teaching Community College and Historically Underserved Students: Innovative, Inclusive, and Compassionate Pedagogy (Palgrave, 2024) and Teaching Poetry Now (SUNY Press, forthcoming).

When not at work, Annelise can be found making poor decisions at TJ Maxx or frolicking around Athens with her beloved corgi, Bean. She can’t say “no” to an opportunity to craft.
