As the Director of University Experiential Learning, Andrew champions experiential
learning at the University of Georgia, articulating a vision to various stakeholders
within the university as well as community and industry partners. He is responsible
for identifying and developing innovative ways to advance experiential learning, which
includes further integrating experiential learning within the academic curriculum,
fostering collaboration between academic units in various schools and colleges as
well as local/regional community and industry partners and developing new experiential
learning opportunities for students.
Kay S. Stanton joined the Office of Experiential Learning in 2016 as the Senior Coordinator
of Experiential Learning Program. She has been heavily involved in the implementation
of the EL initiative and is a general repository of EL info. Kay works closely with
faculty and staff on the development of EL courses and non-credit activity proposals
and heads up the data crunching and pretty graph making side of the office. She also
conducts informational presentations and training workshops on the experiential learning
initiative, requirement, transcript, and the EnGAge software platform for faculty,
staff and students.
Karen W. Saunders leads the development and delivery of unique internship programs
with industry, non-profit, and government sectors housed within the Office of University
Experiential Learning. Karen regularly presents to businesses and community partners
as well as on-campus stakeholders to align student internship opportunities with the
Experiential Learning outcomes required for inclusion on the Experiential Learning
Sara Kirkpatrick joined the Experiential Learning Team in 2018. She manages the EL
Scholarship Program and works extensively with print/digital/social media marketing.
Sara also assists with outreach efforts and various presentations/tabling events.
She is always happy to meet with students who are pursuing funding for their Experiential
Learning activities or have general questions about the EL program.
Gabby Brickner joined the Office of Experiential Learning for the summer of 2019 as
a Programs Intern in charge of managing the social media presence for the office.
She also helps at tabling events as well as other outreach efforts fro the office.
She is earning her B.B.A. in Marketing as well as a certificate in New Media, and
has plans to obtain her Master of Marketing Research after graduating in Spring 2021.
Amir Ali joined the Office of Experiential Learning during Spring 2020 as a Data intern
in charge of managing data, editing website, and aiding the office in its endeavors.
During the year, he will be helping with tabling efforts and other outreach efforts
for EL. He is earning his B.B.A in MIS and working towards MSBA through the Double
Dawgs dual degree program. Amir plans on graduating in the Spring of 2022.
