Laurynn Scurlock joined the Experiential Team in the Summer of 2022 as the Experiential Learning Programs Intern for the 2022-23 academic year. She works closely with office leadership to expand brand awareness, outreach, and growth. She currently aides in the management of both the Experiential Learning Ambassadors program and the social media for the Experiential Learning office.
Formerly, Laurynn worked as a freelance graphic designer and brand manager. During this time, she aided purpose driven small businesses, non-profits, and religious institutions in creating impactful brands that foster longevity and impact. In addition to her work in the office, Laurynn is the co-founder of the non-profit ThinkBox that aims to increase the college matriculation of low-income, foster, and at-risk high school students.
Laurynn is also a third year Social Work Major and works closely with her professors conducting research in social movements and poverty alleviation. She is an active member of Georgia Daze Minority Recruitment and Black Felicity. She has completed over seven experiential learning opportunities during her time at University of Georgia. She hopes to one day obtain a doctorate degree in educational policy and open her own school for at-risk youth.
